Thread: Engine options?

    Re: Engine options?

I have one of these manifolds in a box at home with the injectors/rail mounted and a set of gutted DCNF TBs... I suppose I should put them up for sale to clear out some space....

Also, the manny appears to have bosses for fuel injectors, so you could consider doing FI with DCNF-style throttle bodies.

If not, contact Ray Mortensen at Performance Apex (425-226-5955) in Maple Valley. He is 'old school' but knows the Beta well. He's not up to speed on all of the Euro stuff (Vx's etc.) but does know what parts are readily available in the US and is a wealth of info (tell him John sent you)
You just saved me a ton of time! I was told to contact Ray and was about to post an inquiry for contact information. I definitely have some things I'm interested in doing in the future that I'd like to discuss with him.

    Thanks for the lead!

Currently I've got Ralli Round, a shop almost next door to where I live doing a bunch of basic stuff on my car. Has anyone ever had any experience with them? They were a shop that specialized in Alfa that now works on anything basically. My inital impression is mixed and I wonder about their shop rate ($95 an hour).

They're in Lynnwood, right? I have no personal connection with them, but I know other local people who have used them (mostly FIAT Spiders).

I think Ray's rate is closer to $75/hr, $95 seems like BMW shop rates.

Nope. He is east of Renton, in Maple Valley. I've used him several times to fix my Betas, starting back in the '80s.

If you are referring to Performance Apex, I do know that - I consider Ray (and his wife Lorrie) one of my close friends and have known him for close to 20yrs. If fact, I had seriously considered working for him a few years back. Really a great guy, and has the stories to keep you laughing!

I think Ralli Round is in Lynnwood, up around 225th IIRC, There is also another place in Tacoma - though the name escapes me now (something like Pete Best?).

Actually Ralli Round is in the Eastlake neighborhood of Seattle.

I should have my car next Friday and a story to tell once I have it in hand. :-(
